Danny Pelosi has a message for the grand jury investigating financier Ted Ammon's murder: "Let's go to the dance. You want to indict me? Let's go!" "There's a lot of people who benefited from his death - financially and otherwise," the gravelly voiced Long Island electrician said yesterday. "We have at least 10 other theories on who and why Ted was killed." Pelosi said if he has to stand trial for murder to prove his innocence in the slaying of his late wife's previous husband, than so be it. "When the dance is over, somebody's got to pay the band, and it ain't going to be me," he said. "I can't wait for this indictment to be over," said Pelosi, who denies any involvement in the October 2001 East Hampton, L.I., slaying. "I'll go to court tomorrow." Pelosi, who installed the video security system at Ammon's estate, stirred suspicion when he married the millionaire's wealthy widow, Generosa Ammon, three months after the murder. The Ammons were days away from finalizing their divorce when he was killed, but she inherited his fortune. Sources said Pelosi and Generosa Ammon had used the security system and a laptop computer to spy on Ted Ammon and his girlfriends before his death. Pelosi's sister had the laptop at the time of the murder, cops said. A spokesman for Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota declined to comment. Pelosi, 40, said he has spent "more than $2 million" on at least five attorneys and numerous private investigators since Ted Ammon was killed. He refused to detail his theories on the murder. Last year, the Center Moriches, L.I., native said the answer to Ted Ammon's death could lie in the huge deals the big-time investment banker made on Wall Street. Ted Ammon's wealth was estimated at $80 million to $300 million. Since July, Pelosi said he has been waiting for police to take him away on murder charges. "My lawyers told me that Generosa and I were going to be indicted July 2," he said. The couple was not charged, and Generosa died weeks later of ovarian cancer. She largely cut Pelosi out of her will and left her fortune to the twins - now 13 - she had adopted with Ted Ammon. He is currently challenging the postnuptial agreement that gave him $2 million. If that bid is successful, he'll be able to challenge Generosa Ammon's will. After spending three months in jail earlier this year on a felony driving-while-intoxicated rap, Pelosi now faces charges he stole electricity on Long Island in the mid-1990s.
