College's should make republicans and Consdervatives an affirmative action goal. Perhaps offering large scholarships and allowing for lower scores for admittance.

I'm taking the liberty of pinging this to my Today Show ping list. This time it's an example of liberal bias in on campus rather than in the media.

Thank you!

Perhaps the "libs" will choke on their own diversity. We should pick up the phrase "The diversity that matters most" and start a national campaign.

Thanks for the ping.
This dovetails nicely with a USA Today article I saw this week. I'm sure it was posted on FR. That article was on the front page, I believe, and talked about some of the law suits working their way through the courts about campus speech codes.
It gives me hope that the tide is slowly starting to turn.

I wonder what the figures are at Wellesley College, Queen Hillary's alma mater. Probably 100-0.
To: mountaineer
Speaking of Hillary, guess who was a recent speaker at Wells?

We should pick up the phrase "The diversity that matters most" and start a national campaign. It does have a catchy ring, doesn't it!?

The Wells Republicans have received the email below from one of the liberal profs at the college. He unwittingly illustrates their point perfectly - that the liberal profs show disdain and disrespect for Republicans!

Good study! You've shown that really smart people don't vote Republican! QED.

PS: Really smart people also know it's ". . . data are . . ."
To: governsleastgovernsbest
Oh, and by the way, the snide and condescending prof is wrong about "data" being a plural noun only. Check this from the prestigious Oxford dictionary, which states that the use of 'data' as a singular noun is acceptable in American usage:
http://www.askoxford.com/asktheexperts/faq/aboutgrammar/data Is 'data' singular or plural?
Strictly speaking, data is the plural of datum, and should be used with a plural verb (like facts). However, there has been a growing tendency to use it as an equivalent to the uncountable noun information, followed by a singular verb.
This is now regarded as generally acceptable in American use, and in the context of information technology. The traditional usage is still preferable, at least in Britain, but it may soon become a lost cause. Compare with agenda.

Our daughter has been receiving recruitment packages from everyplace from West Point to Wellesley (sp?). She has opted for Cal Poly SLO and has submitted an early decision application.
That aside, I hung onto the Wellesley booklet for awhile because it was so far to the left it was hilarious. The primary emphasis of the recruitment was their "diversity." No comments on the quality of the education, their science program, their employment rates after graduation. Every picture in the colorful booklet had at least one of each race (except perhaps Asian) plus a few very butch-looking students.
I wasn't sure which brochure was worse - theirs or Hahhhvahhhd's, which discouraged ROTC participation through MIT's program because the armed services "don't meet Harvard's high moral standards of nondiscrimination."

The primary emphasis of the recruitment was their "diversity." Anything about the political diversity of the Wellesley faculty? </end rhetorical question>
Best wishes for your daughter at Cal Poly SLO.

One of the liberal Wells profs, Tom Vawter, sent a number of emails to the Wells Republicans in response to their study.
In the first, he wrote:
From: Tom Vawter
tvawter@wells.edu To: Ms. Hochenberger et al.:

QED.
Tom Vawter
In the second email, Prof. Vawter was even more outrageous. He concluded with the following quote as a tag line:
"Lobotomies for Republicans: It's not just a good idea; It's the
Law!" --Yellow Dog
Can you imagine what would happen to a conservative prof if he called for a law requiring members of a liberal group to be lobotomized?
To: All
I would ask people to please NOT send inflammatory emails to Prof. Vawter. It is important to remain civil, even while disagreeing.
To: governsleastgovernsbest
Sounds like an old fashioned discussion in the parking lot could help the prof keep up with current events.
