If the above-mentioned bars and restaurants closed due to smoking ban in their jurisdiction why is it that not ALL bars in restaurants on those jurisdictions also closed?

Dallas has lost a fortune in conventions and the restaurant business has been affected big time because of the nazi smoking ban.

I guess the libs that run the City will just have to raise taxes to make up for the shortfall.

Do you smoke while grocery shopping, clothes shopping, or other enclosed places where people gather too?

You managed to find one business in California with a population of over 35million and it happens to be a bowling alley (does anyone bowl anymore?) in the liberal college town of SLO where even drive-thru fast food restaurants aren't allowed.

First, I would like to find out who these 2000 New Yorkers are who died of second hand smoke.

But, let me tell you: Many bars in NYC are ignoring the no-smoking ban. One I visit frequently, which will go unnamed, looks the other way when patrons smoke and often, the bartenders are smoking as well.

I also visited a bar/restaurant/cigar shop in Little Italy that blatantly allows any smoking, including cigar smoking, on the premises. I asked someone who works there about it, and he said, "The city is scared to death of us." They have been there for 45 years or so.
