OKay, according to the article Scott reported missing jewelry to the police, and said Laci was wearing that morning diamond earrings, bracelet, and necklace.

While Amber was working with police, but had not come out publicly SP was still calling and was trying to see her. She kept putting him off with excuses. About 3 weeks after Laci was missing, he said he was in Fresno and had a gift for her. She made an excuse why she couldn't see him. The report claims he left the gift in a gift bag hidden in some bushes and told her where to find it.

It was jewelry and she called her polic handler and turned it over. The Enquirer does not know what the jewelry was (was it the bracelet, necklace and earrings he claimed she was wearing??). So, this could be one of the the bombshells to come, especially if the family can identify the jewelry and it fits the description of what SP said Laci was wearing.

Also Enquirer reported that defense team asked Amy in the prelim if it wasn't true that Laci had tried to sell some jewelry the grandma had left her. She said yes on the pieces that were old fashioned, but not the diamond pieces.

What a thoughtful guy. He even put the jewelry in a gift bag!

IF these are Laci's diamonds, that could explain Gloria Allred's "Oh my God" statement. Although, in this case we don't seem to have a shortage "Oh my God" moments.

Thanks for posting the info!

Thanks, Lanza! Guess Greta and Allred weren't getting the time right. Greta was saying that NE was reporting that the gift was left "somewhere" on the 24th of December!

Vel, any chance we're going to get the article today from your source?

Thanks so much for the NE info. So we still don't know if this diamond jewelry is the SAME jewelry she had on when she died, or the stuff she had sitting around waiting to sell. Hmmmm. Would Scott be so low as to pull off her jewelry after death and give them to his girlfriend? COULD HE DO THAT? And wouldn't he realize that would sort of FINISH HIM OFF? I am sure Amy would remember what she had on that day, or possibly she wore the same basic jewelry every day?
