I sat through both LKL and Greta tonight. (Maybe next time, Jackie!!) I would just like to say that I have seldom seen such flagrant butt-kissing as they engaged in on Larry King--even though that sort of thing is a frequent activity on his show. They went on and on about Cochran, as he preened. Then they went on and on about Gloria, as she sat there beaming. Regardless of the actual abilities of either of them, it was still sickening.
But then Greta topped that by having a segment on "who is Mark Geragos?" PUH-LEEZE! As if anyone could avoid seeing his rodent-like face everywhere!
Oh, and I was wondering why all the objections to hearsay were being sustained that first day with a lay witness. And then I see a clip in which Geragos is saying, "Right now the state's police witnesses are testifying to what they saw and did, and are also relating HEARSAY TESTIMONY that they heard from other persons."
This "Prop. 115" that they keep referring to is apparently the operable law on hearsay for CA preliminary hearings (and probably for other types of hearings as well.)
Thanks for sacrificing yourself to the bobble-headed cable gods. Speaking of gods, my parents remember seeing Cochran at a football game during O.J. He was walking along greeting everyone majestically.

Thanks very kindly to all of you who have posted to me today, and special thanks, Mags, for keeping the articles coming. Usually, I try to respond to all posts, (unless I miss it), but please forgive me that I haven't today.
Today has been one of those really bad hair days for me. Sandlapper learned that he has to have a biopsy next week, and my mind has been quite distracted. Hopefully, it's nothing, or nothing serious, but biopsies are worrisome.
To top that off, my hobby of late has been keeping up with this case, and today was about the most confusing, perplexing day I can remember! Think I expressed earlier how frustrated I was that none of the reporters, who we thought would be running out every so often and giving the PUBLIC some facts, (after all it is still a PUBLIC hearing, isn't it?), don't seem to be giving us very much. Seems to me that we either have to read the Modbee's somewhat abbreviated version to get a decent accounting of courtroom events, or wait until the transcripts come out! So, how long do we have to wait?
Anse, I did manage to watch LKL and Greta tonight, and since we don't get transcripts to Greta's program, tell me if you heard this. I "think" it was Vinny who said words to this effect regarding FBI surveillance tapes--that if FBI didn't turn them over to defense (I guess, since MG has asked for them), that the case could end up in a dismissal? Or have I really gone bonkers today?
