I guess I just can't say no to a fight, even with an unarmed man.

Anyway, if you bother to read all my posts on this subject you will be able to easily find one of the seemingly hundreds to which I have added the caveat "I don't think he should go to jail or lose his retirement".

My argument in this is mostly aimed at those critics of the military justice system and disparaging the JAG. He had no choice but to recommend the charges, because as I see it LTC West did commit assault, and IMO aggravated assault. The JAG merely did his duty, as would I.
