Thank you for your service to our country. I believe you are totaly correct in your position, as I would assume by his actions is Lt. Col. West. I think Lt. Col. West did what he thought was the right thing at the time, and his willing to accept the concequences or his actions. I would hope the powers that be to not destroy his life. He in no way deserves that.
I for one am very glad that there are people like you and Lt. Col. West in our Armed Forces.
You have some cojones grande to have stuck around and remianed civil in this thread with all the crap that has been throw your way.

In fact, since subsequent events have proven his decision, judgement and risk to have been the correct thing to do as regardfs accomplishing his mission and minimizing US casualties, the powers that be should review the rules in question and then ensure that no taint or black mark against this fine man stands.
