In that regard, we have already compiled all the public statements on Iraq made by senior administration officials...Intelligence issues are clearly secondary to the public's concern regarding the insurgency in Iraq. Yet, we have an important role to play in the revealing the misleading -- if not flagrantly dishonest methods and motives -- of the senior administration officials who made the case for a unilateral, preemptive war.

Note the first citation above. In the big "exclusive" ABC's Brian Ross is currently pimping (i.e. that the Bush Administration "ignored" a "peace feeler" from some Lebanese smuggler with dual American citizenship), ABC juxtaposes the story of the "peace feeler" against a Rumsfeld statement that the US had "exhausted every opportunity for peace". Of course, both the first and second citation clearly reveal that the Democrat members of the Intel Committee are proceeding from the foregone conclusion (or hope) that "Bush lied" about the intelligence on Iraq, and that they are simply looking for any information (no matter how specious) to support their conclusion. That's why I believe that the "Pentagon memos" that ABC said they possess (which supposedly show that the "feeler" from the smuggler was presumably passed up the DoD chain), came from the Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Precisely. Note the timing...

How much longer are the Ds going to tolerate the clintons? Surely, there must be multiple coups in the works.

With Memogate, the Ds are one Deep Throat away from a clinton-free par-tee...
