Although British broadcasters were not guilty of the overt pro-war bias of their US counterparts, they tended to assume the truth of what they had been told.Except, of course, the BBC, which always broadcast the truth. Such as when they blasted as lies that the Americans had taken over Baghdad airport...(oops, the Americans had taken over Baghdad airport...) or that the press for years had covered up the atrocities of Hussein so they could stay in Baghdad (reported by the oh so left wing NYTimes editor Burns)...
