He reported his weapon jammed and he had to load rounds one at a time to fire back at the Iraqis. Killed a number of them too. Damn shame! Do you suppose the support folks got the jammers and the front line troops got the working stuff? Some more of the bent one's legacy; not enough working weapons to go around?

I wonder if Al Jazeera will report this as readily as they would report any American mistreatment of Iraqi POWs. Hmmmm. (In fact, I doubt they'll report this at all)

This reminds me of a story a Marine Major told me about Life in the Corp during the Carter Years. Seem his unit went to the rifle range and were given old old original M-16's. Out of the whole batch only 7 were left functioning come qualification day.
