Our military policies are often, it seems, lagging those of the Israelis. Not to take anything away from our brave soldiers and field commanders, who I hold in the highest esteem. Our civilian influence, not surprisingly, appears to be the most corrupt.

That takes nothing away from our men soldiers. We would do well to listen to and work with the Israelis. And I believe we do, to a large degree.
