I tried RH 7.3 and 8. It installed just as easy as Win2k and a Heck of a lot easier than Win98.
You might have been doing something wrong.

I used the latest RH 9. I never got the network printer to work. I had to install 3 times before it would boot. Open Office takes 30 seconds to start. The computer takes 3 minutes to boot. It has locked up several times. The computer runs Win2k flawlessly.

It is a little better with 256 mb of additional memory, but still far inferior to Win2K. And I still can't print.
