WOW .. unbelievably compelling story. God Bless Her for telling it now, and God Bless Terri and her family! She saw and heard everything; science .. the doctors .. THOUGHT she was in a vegetative state and she wasn't. She was just completely paralyzed.

The only way she could communicate was through blinking her eyes, and she was so weak, she could only do that a couple of times an hour. They even treated her "like a vegetable" when she had to have surgery and didn't give her enough anaesthesia and she felt everything!! HORRORS! Just shows to go how critically important it is we have an advocate, as she did with her atty. husband fighting all the way, and threatening to sue if they didn't replace her feeding tube. He said he was threatening to sue everybody.

She had had a stroke .. after 3 months of acute therapy, she was communicative. Incredible .. O'Reilly called it a miracle. Indeed .. it is a miracle her husband was able to stop the doctors from killing her.

MOST IMPORTANT .. she said that the starvation was pure torture .. she was off the feeding tube for 8 days, and that pain and hunger was incredibly painful .. she knew she needed to eat .. that it dominated her thoughts .. that when Michael Schiavo said it was painless, how wrong he was.

Did you even hear what she said. She was labeled as PJS and had her feeding tube removed by the doctors who mis diagnosed her. No different from Terri.

My father went through this same thing. I was told he was in a vegetative state after a stroke and that he would never wake up. I insisted that they feed him.

Ten days later when I walked in the room and said HI Dad, he answered me! I had the best part of my relationship with him during the last two years of his life.

Hey, I found her website, and the articles I read said nothing about the doctors taking her feeding tube out against her husband's wishes! Quite the opposite. This article: http://www.katesjourney.com/redbook.html actually says that taking the tubes out was a good thing....

She and her husband said it themselves tonight on O'Reilly. That's how she could describe the torture it was. It was out for 8 days before her husband screamed "lawsuit" enough to have it replaced. Heard them myself, as I'm sure many others did.

Something must have happened with her marriage, though... nothing on her website about her husband. All references to her husband has been replaced with "family." If she's had a rift with her husband she should just outright say so.
