Wanted: Great Christian sermons to (legally) download
Posted on 11/05/2003 5:15:13 PM PST by Joe Republc
Over the last year, I've really gotten a lot out of Christian radio, which I didn't even know existed before. I listen to the BOT (spelling?) radio network, which has Dr. Dobson, James MacDonald, John McCarther, and others.
Recently, I've been very pleased to also discover that two of my favorite Christian speakers leave recorded audio available for free download.

http://resources.christianity.com/rzim/ Ravi Zacharias
I download these MP3s, and play them back in the car.
Anyway, I was hoping other Christians have other suggestions for free (and legal) downloads from great speakers.
Peace to you,
-- Joe

Be careful, Joe. I downloaded some deep-trance material from a Deepak Chopra site to listen to in my '84 Ford Tempo. When I finally regained consciousness I had rolled right through a daycare center playground and had come to rest in the showroom of a bridal boutique. Now I can't make both my eyes blink at once. Bad scene, man.

Tons of wonderful sermons in the archives. You can print them out and/or listen to them.

I have to share one of my favorites, Alistair Begg. (Truth for Life ministries) He always challenges me to be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer.
He also has lots of Spurgeon on his site.

I have downloaded from SOME of these sites, but you can listen to any of these on your computer. Which I do, just about every day:
Adrian Rogers:

Charles Stanley:

Dr. John MacArthur is my favorite radio Bible teacher. His website is www.gty.org (which stands for Grace to You). That website makes his current series available (free of charge, I think) using RealAudio or Windows MediaPlayer. There are MP3 files available also, for a small download fee. He preaches the Truth with power and wisdom!

I second the InTouch.org website as Charles Stanley is an upright man speaking the Word of God.
If you listen to Chuck Swindoll his webcast is still available through Insight For Living or on his main website. Both sites feature audio archived broadcasts for a few years. Enjoy!

Anyone know if David Jeremiah has a web broadcast? I usually miss most of it on the radio as I am usually heading to work at that time.

Sorry I saw the David Jeremiah reference earlier in the thread. Please disregard.

suggestions for free (and legal) downloads I would like to know all the names of all the people who would sue for downloading a sermon.
"I'll sue you for stealing my sermon which spreads the gospel!"
Is this what we've come to?
