Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn't taken office yet, but prominent Democrats are already trying to paint themselves as the best candidate to replace him.
For the second time in recent weeks, Treasurer Phil Angelides on Tuesday took on the Republican governor-elect on a crucial issue to California. This time it was Schwarzenegger's energy policy; last time it was his plans to deal with the state's budget deficit.

I guess there is something to be said about starting early. Especially given the fact that Schwarzenegger HASN'T even been swarn in yet!
