Fireworks will continue for next half hour, though not as vigorously as many of us would like.

kit bond is lighting into them bigtime. "this memo suggests . . . that there is a strategy to make the intelligence committee the focal point of the 2004 election."

Amazingly enough (sarcasm), I don't see a single article in the Washington Post, the New York Times, the LA Times, or the USA Today over this Democrat memorandum.
I am sure if the parties were reversed, they would have overlooked it then too.

Great to see my Senator saying something.
Another good part will be when Zell Miller stands up and belittles his colleagues.
I wonder if this will make network news?
To: William McKinley
the good thing is that this accrues to the discredit of those media, and underlines what people are coming to think of them. and of the fact that we are really two countries: the vast great nation, which produces, and the cities, which don't.

I bet it wasn't featured on the Today Show either. They were probably looking into some new angle of the Valerie Plame issue.
To: William McKinley
I think the mainstream will have to pick this up...albeit with spin.
This is too big and there are too many nationwide outlets to keep the lid on it. Sean, Rush, Boortz, etc and FNC, and then email circles.
This is coming out big. :0) jmho!

bond now quotes clinton on the need to act against iraq.

How about "a fishing expedition with a prepared call for Independent Counsel to be used at election time. Only reason to call for IC would be to trump up Impeachment".
WRITE AND FAX TO YOUR SENATORS!!! TOO IMPORTANT TO JUST CALL THEIR OFFICES!!
To: dep
Bond? Where is he from? How is he tying it in to the intel memo?
To: William McKinley
Has CNN convered it yet?

give em hell Jon Kyl....what a great great conservative
To: jwalsh07
now kyl: "i never saw the kind of blatant partisanship that has emerged in this memorandum. it is a disgusting possibility. . . . before something is even done, they've decided how they're going to criticism. this is either their plan or it is not. if it is, it is reprehensible. if it is not, they must repudiate it and make sure that the things it says never come to pass. we shall see. i would note that some of the things it says appear to have already been set in motion. it's part of what is currently democratic process in the committee."

I AM WAITING FOR ZELL MILLER [(D) GEORGIA]TO SPEAK AND JUST HAMMER THE HELL OUT OF HIS OWN PARTY!
To: San Jacinto
An Arizona senator is speaking. It sounds like John Kyl. "I would note that parts of the plan appear to already be in motion...pull the majority along...call for an independent commission."
"It is unethical and improper to characterize the motives of our colleagues in the senate...I do not question their motives and they should not question mine."
Oh sheesh...the new tone again. I guess this is about as riled up as they get. Bring on Zell Miller!
