Mmmmm...3 or 4 eggs lookin' at ya', a bowl o' grits, a coupla ham steaks from the smoke house, fried green tomaters, milk from the can on the back porch, biscuits fresh from the oven, with butter'n honey...
That was my favorite breakfast when visiting grandparents in Leaksville, MS.
Heart Healthy meals are waaaaay over-rated!

Besides being over rated they are in the "politically correct" way of saying it, taste challenged too.
After my second heart attack, I quit smoking, drinking coffee and eating things that tasted good. That was the most miserable afternoon I ever had.

It's just too bad that we don't eat like that at home nowadays, ain't it Grandpa?
BTW...company is coming FRIDAY night, say 1930 hours or so. Pass the word on to Grandma, okay? Guest room'll be open again on Monday night.
