If their initial argument wasn't framed in a way that would make the law applicable, then I can see this instance. FWIU, the last hearing for Terri's guardianship was a long time ago, before Michael and Jodi moved in together. As such, it could not have been brought up as a subject then. However, there was something decidedly improper about Judge Greer firing a guardian ad litem who sought to point out that impropriety.
My personal thinking is that Greer realizes that he has to tread very carefully or risk impeachment; the timing of the motion to remove Michael as guardian could turn out to be good, if Greer doesn't allow endless continuances.

The guardianship issue is a sidebar to what is likely to be a major legal battle over a hastily passed state law that let Gov. Jeb Bush order the reinsertion of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube Oct. 21.
To me, the guardianship is more important than the constitutionality of the law at this time. If Schiavo is removed as guardian, isn't he out of the picture? And the law is obviously constitutional unless the judiciary insists on trying to have the last word on the matter.

No doubt the guardianship is most important to Terri. Terris law important for any future Terris though. If yall can keep it constitutional then IMO other states will follow Floridas lead, which is probably why there is going to be a fight.

"Does anybody know how much therapy Terri has had during her 13 yr ordeal?" I believe that she was getting regular therapy until 1993, shortly after Michael was granted the money for Terri's rehabilitation. Since then, he has forbidden any therapy or anything, it seems, that might coincidentally have therapeutic value.

Obviously Michael can't come up with medical records showing rehab or medical services over the past 10 years and he can't get rid of his finance and two kids so he can't explain anything away....He's at a dead-end, instead of Terri being at a dead-end. Praise God! Does anyone know when HINO's attorney has to submit his "arguments" to the Judge?

"How about God's squad? :')"That'd be good too...either way
Maybe someone who knows more about graphics than I do (which is nothing) will design the card. I'd give that a real good chance of happening...

Wow!
What an interesting post (response).
I have learned a lot.
I observe many threads without making comments.
Sometimes some posters make such illogical, immature, non-Sequitur statements, that I wonder what their motives are.
You have helped me understand the phenomenon.
Thank you.

Today the jusdge said, "Michael, no way am I going to dismiss their lawsuite, furthermore you need to come back into court and answer two of their claims. Tell the court #1 how you have provided good medical care for her, #2 why you don't have a conflict of interest because you are fooling around with another woman."
Wow! He said that? Great.

Back again after making a nice dinner for my husband. I really enjoyed the food, knowing that for the moment, things are looking up for Terri. I am eating tonight and Terri is eating tonight and hopefully she will be able to keep eating.
In all the recent good news I think an e-mail address should be broadcast again. Earlier today someone put in a wonderful post with all kinds of e-mail addresses. I hunted back and found the e-mail address and sent Judge Greer the following e-mail.
I think it would be good if others also shared with him their thoughts on this court case and his rulings. Perhaps it woudl be nice if the e-mails were spread out over time, so go ahead and draft your e-mail and save it. Send it out at a good time for you so he doesn't get 300 e-mails in the course of one hour type of thing, know what I mean?
We need to keep the pressure up on him. I am sure others will write more eloquently I was carried away with the moment- Anyway here is hat I wrote
e Mail address I used and I hope it is right -
courts@jud6.org Subject = Judge Greer - IT'S About Time!!!
Message =
Judge Greer
It is about time you made a sensible ruling in the case of Terri Shindler Schiavo.
I am from [insert my midwestern state], I'm not part of anything organized, and not currently a member of a church even.
I strongly believe in the Untied States of America Constitution, the First Amendment that starts with "The right to LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
This Michael Schiavo definitely has a conflict of interest. #1 Follow the money, #2 follow the money, #3 follow the money.
He is a Husband in Name Only. Let him move on with his life, I bear him no grudge. However it is OUTRAGEOUS that he has moved on with his life yet has the parents of that poor woman dancing on a hot tin roof, starving their own very own daughter to death, and he claiming that he is better qualified to make these decisions and not them.
Maybe at one time he was the better qualified guardian, but not any more. His actions, his own actions have demonstrated that he is an inferior guardian compared to any one of her blood family members. He does not have Terri's best interest at heart, he has his own best interest at heart.
I am watching and following this case via the internet. This is more important than a hanging chad, which was the last time I was interested in Florida court cases.
My God if we have come so low in this country that we let a HINO (Husband In Name Only) get state sanction to slowly kill a woman and deny her parents and brothers and sister the right to even be in physical contact with her while she is dying over their objections, while he goes home at night to another woman and his children bore of the other woman, well I just don't know what to say? My God please don't sink us that low.
Judge in baseball tie goes to the runner. If there is a tie here between the HINO and the blood family you have got to give "tie goes to the runner", give Terri the runner, the benefit of Life and grant guardianship to the blood family.
That is all I have to say from [insterted my state], other than the fact that with the Internet all eyes are on YOU.
Respectfully,
[I stated my name address and phone number]
If anyone has a better e-mail address for Judge Greer pl let me know and I'll re-send.
Everyone take a moment, construct an e-mail and send it off at a time that seems right to you. I'm not in Florida I can't stand vigil, but this small thing I can do and so can you!

Let's hope George W. Greer is playing the role of Pontius Pilate and wants to wipe his dirty hands of the whole Schiavo matter. He now knows that he will be remembered in history as the corrupt, arrogant judge who twice ordered the starvation/dehydration of an innocent disabled woman. What kind of legacy is that? And we know what "legacy" means to liberals? As Andrew Jackson said of the Second Bank of the United States: "The bank is trying to kill me, but I will kill it." So should George W. Greer say: "Get all Schiavo files out of my presence now in as painless a way as possible to my reputation!"
Schiavo must now feel betrayed by Greer, while Felos probably consoles him by saying "everything will work out yet." Really, Greer has no more reason to challenge the guardianship now than he did five years ago. In other words, Schiavo should have never been the guardian, once it became clear that he had such a glaring conflict of interest. I bet neither Jodi nor mother-in-law to-be Eleanor are pleased tonight.

"I have no names. They are confidential because only Michael Schiavo and Atty Felos have had ACCESS TO TERRI'S MEDICAL RECORDS. This was all discussed in a Monday evening press conference held by Terri's attorney Pat Anderson. Terri arrived at MPH around 6:00 pm. THE IV WASN'T STARTED UNTIL 9:30 pm."It's a good thing I said "should this information ever become available" in my letter to Noory. I suppose now that the only way this info can become public is to appear in some kind of court transcript. Or the unlikely possibilty that one of the doctors goes public.
The doctors who did this deserve as much public criticism as Greer, Felos and M. Schiavo.

If he DID say that, it was not reported in the AP article or any other I've seen. Could've been purposely omitted?? Nah .. a reporter wouldn't do that.

I actually wonder why Jodi's mother would even CONSIDER her daughter marrying a man who has already abused one woman into a seriously disabled state and then tried to killer off THREE TIMES "legally".
