It should apply (1) because it's IN the law; (2) because any sane person would conclude that a guardian living in sin is not conducive to the best interests of a disabled spouse ward who would prove very inconvenient to the guardian if she recovers. "Sane" is the operative word. It appears to leave out the trolls and Judge Three-Divorces Greer.
