The former chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party criticized Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean for saying he wants "to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks." We need to do everything we can to ensure that John Dufus gets the DimWit Party nomination, then come election night we can watch with glee as every state goes to GW.

Just how do they reconcile with "pickup truck" guys with "soccer moms"? ...who probably drive SUVs?

Dean sent a letter to Harpootlian on Tuesday, saying he did not intend to stereotype Southerners and believes the Confederate flag is a "despicable symbol of racism, oppression." And who was the SC governor who put that flag up on the state courthouse? It was a DEM (Ido not remember his name. Hannity has mentioned this hypocracy several times.

Just how do they reconcile with "pickup truck" guys with "soccer moms"? ...who probably drive SUVs?They get the same tax deductions if their vehicles are over 6,000 pounds weight. Of course, they need be new and expensive vehicles too, and the owners should be in a higher tax bracket.

"Kerry served as the commander of a Swift boat patrolling the Mekong Delta, and after leaving the Navy joined the anti-war movement"
...and hasn't shut his mouth about his vet status since.
...Graybeard (and countless others) were sorryass grunts who came home and didn't join any protest movements but went about peaceably living their lives, only to happy to still be alive and living in the greatest country in the world.
...Kerry makes me physically ill...Almost on a par with the draft dodger Clinton.

Pretty funny, the Southern politicians are acting as if nobody in the South has a Confederate flag on their pickup truck. Weird, I see them every day. I see them on pickup trucks and flying by the side of the road. They sell enough Dixie Outfitters shirts and I see lots of Confederate flags for sale at every roadside flea market.
I don't know what's funnier, the northern Democrat who imagines that all Southerners drive pickups with Confederate flags and are barefoot OR the southern Democrats who huffily pretend that such a thing no longer exists in the South. They are all constructing their own fantasy world.

Dean wants to tell Southerners that they are horrible racists if they have a Confederate flag, but he wants them to vote for him anyway.
I once heard Douglas Brinkley speak; he was disgustingly sycophantic about Democrat politicians (he was going on mainly about Carter).
To: Indy Pendance
The comment riled former South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian, who said Tuesday it indicates Dean's lack of understanding of the South. Maybe Mr. Harpootlian can tell us again about somebody being "light in the loafers," then claim that it wasn't a smear.

Saw a van the other day with a soccer ball decal, as well as a confedrate flag decal.

Funny; that's the same thing I think about Dean.

That Dem. governor was Fritz Hollings, currently serving in the Senate! (and forgiven, obviously)

Hmmm. Is Dean posturing for the black vote in SC? Actually, it's Edwards I'd like to see wiped off the list of possibles. Harpootlian is the head of the Trial Lawyers, and Edwards might very well be his first choice.
Dean or Sharpton, Dean or Sharpton--who to choose?
