If terrorists didn't obtain feedback indicating that they were having an effect in the US, they would lose their recruiting power and attacks would decrease as they sought to regroup.

Again...I am 100% behind the president! Every time those wanker Libs had a protest in my hometown this year I was across the street with a pro-troop sign. One of the reasons I enjoy this bulletin board is that I now have info to go head-to-head with all the peace-niks on my campus.
But I think it's dangerous to accuse the minority party of treason just because of an alleged memo that says nothing except: "Hey guys...lets see if this committee will bring up some embarrassing info about the president!"
What gets troops killed is the policy of collective punishment, not hireing local Iraqi contractors to rebuild and misinformation on the part of the Arab press.
A half-baked attack-plan put forth by the Dems does nothing for the enemy. And to critisice dissent is anti-Democratic.

In fact, I think this memo is a GOOD thing for the Republicans because this flap will be a great excuse for the president to not co-operate with ANY investigation. There will be plenty of time for a full investigation after we have won the War On Terrorism.
