Is anyone listening to Hannity? He just read a memo from a dem party staffer (i think) on the select committe on intelligence (or some such), which, as he describes it, shows the the dem committe members are pre-planning a political assault on the pres. and care nothing for our security, which is their job.
He's acting like this is the hottest scoop since I don't know what, I'm at work so I'm only 1/2 listening, plus he read the whole thing which seemed to be a least 2 pages long, a little tough to follow being in beaurocrat-speak.
Is this really important? And will this story grow legs?

Very good point. How far is the tentacles on this thing and what places of government does it reach. if it from the DNC (good chance) then does Clinton have a fingerprint on it?
Heading to class! Ping me please if it gets more developed.

The fact that this memo is coming out from the Dems on the bipartisan Select Intelligence Committee, regardless of whether or not they're actually using classified information, seems to me to be very significant, as well as a potential tipoff that there could be worse out there. (You just *know* that if the shoe were on the other foot the Dems would be playing this memo for all it's worth.) This wasn't something out of DNC HQ. Anyone using critical thinking skills can see the possible implications :).

Did Sean say if he could tell if the memo had been sent?

An office connected to the staff on an Intelligence Committee doesn't use a shredder?
Scarier than I first imagined.

Fox News (Brit & Company) think this LEAKED MEMO is no big deal. I assume that the "MAJOR" news networks won't even bother reporting this.
What SHOCKS me is that NO ONE reads the part of the memo that states catagorically that NO MATTER what the outcome of the investigation is, THE DEMOCRATS, will BLAME the Republicans for a UNFAIR investigation and demand an "INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION". In other words THE PRESENT investigation MATTERS NOT ONE WIT!! Unfortunately this story will ONLY have legs if Sean Hannity HAS MORE than he is letting on that he knows.

Hope the memo is in a safe and that Sean has body guards. Dems can be wicked when riled.

Intell Committee has always been an oxymoron to my mind. And I fully support 43's not wanting to tell any of them anything more than he absolutely has to.

"I can't, for the life of me, see the difference."
Nothing in this memo suggests they are going to use classified information against the President. Basically, it says they're going on a fishing expedition, looking for evidence that the administration exaggerated or distorted intelligence claims about Iraq. And, as an earlier poster noted, they can spin it to look like they are working on behalf of the American people to expose lying by the administration. But their real motive, of course, is just to cause trouble for Bush, even if it hinders the effort in Iraq and encourages Saddam's diehards to ever more extreme tactics. But this would never technically qualify as offering "aid and comfort" to the enemy in a legal, prosecutable sense. We can't make traitors out of every critic of the administration's foreign policy.

Did Sean say if he could tell if the memo had been sent? He didn't say
When Roberts said it didn't come from the Committe, Sean asked if he knew for sure .. or something like that

I couldn't believe FNC's panel. If things have degenerated to the point to where this is business as usual during wartime, God help us.

I honestly don't know, Dog.....I had to work sans talk radio, as usual, today. And then I am quite often "deprived" of listening to FOX news at night... : (
To: truthkeeper
He said the reason he's on with Sean right now is because his phone started ringing off the hook and he was told by another member that he'd better get on with Sean to clear the air.Ah, the power of New Media.
