Is anyone listening to Hannity? He just read a memo from a dem party staffer (i think) on the select committe on intelligence (or some such), which, as he describes it, shows the the dem committe members are pre-planning a political assault on the pres. and care nothing for our security, which is their job.
He's acting like this is the hottest scoop since I don't know what, I'm at work so I'm only 1/2 listening, plus he read the whole thing which seemed to be a least 2 pages long, a little tough to follow being in beaurocrat-speak.
Is this really important? And will this story grow legs?

As the presidential election gets closer, there's no telling what kind of garbage is going to be thrown at President Bush et al...seems to be this is just penny-ante stuff compared to what WILL be coming. Especially if Hillary Clinton gets in the race.

Sen. Roberts, from the Sen. Intell. Committee, when he was on Sean's radio program tonight (and I only caught some of it, unfortunately)...Roberts said he had never seen the memo before today, that it is unsigned, that he only got the memo AFTER Sean was reading it on the air, that he has no idea who wrote it. Roberts denied it came from the Sen. Intell. Committee, but said it was a "political memo," whatever that meant. Sean asked him where he got his memo from, and that's the part I don't recall what he said.....either a committee member or his staffer.....Roberts also said he's very upset over this memo, that he's got a call into Rockefeller (?), a person with whom he's had disagreements in the past.....

? From a committee member or his staffer???? He said another member .. but didn't say who it was
He also said that his copy was not signed .. he also said that he didn't know if it was the same one that Sean had and Sean said he would send him a copy
Later .. some guy called in and was saying how he is hearing the some Dems are not happy with how the Party is being run and that he thinks this memo was leaked by a Dem
Sean didn't confirm .. nor deny what this guy said .. But Sean did say he wasn't to far off the mark

Roberts mumbled and fumbled and finally said he's check with *gasp* Jay Rockefeller. I think at the end of his conversation, Sean got him to acknowledge that this may well indeed need the FBI's investigative expertise.
I think Roberts is being cautious --- waiting to confirm the source.

With some of the RINOs on that list, you gotta' wonder if the traitor is a Dem.

Take your blinders off! The strategy written down proves the damn democrats are all about politicizing anything to attack the R party and the administration, regardless of how much it translates into killed and maimed American Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan ... and if you're too dumb to see how it translates into dead Soldiers, don't bother responding in defense of your democrats.

Did Sean say the leaker was connected to the committee? How did he put that exactly? Because I had a horrible thought over dinner. And I do mean horrible. What if Hilliary leaked this to screw her own party and set herself up as a patriotic whistleblower? The mind boggles.
To: nicmarlo
Roberts said that his office in Kansas City called, and that is when the activity began for Mr. Roberts.

Thanks to you both for more info. BTW, who is this Rockefeller? (I was thinking it was a political person.)
To: nicmarlo

"For example, in addition to the President's State of the Union speech, the chairman [Sen. Pat Roberts] has agreed to look at the activities of the office of the Secretary of Defense, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, as well as Secretary Bolton's office at the State Department. "The fact that the chairman supports our investigations into these offices and cosigns our requests for information is helpful and potentially crucial. We don't know what we will find but our prospects for getting the access we seek is far greater when we have the backing of the majority. [We can verbally mention some of the intriguing leads we are pursuing.]
Doesn't this fit the Leninist-Stalinist profile of "useful idiots?"

Roberts said that his office in Kansas City called Okay...thanks.

Did Sean say the leaker was connected to the committee? No he didn't say
And I would not be surprised if Hellary did something like that .. But I don't think she leaked it
However, I'll bet she is somehow is behind it & the ideas that are on it

I would guess that they are the same ones that don't support President Bush on ANYTHING! Get real. Have you even read the memo? There is nothing in it that could be construed as illegal. Unethical, most certainly, but not illegal.
It is not in our interest to scream "Treason!" when the evidence does not meet the legal definition.
