So, to enforce laws against illegal immigration is to act in an un-Christian manner? Who knew?

What is un-Christian is forgetting to temper justice with mercy, forgetting to temper what is technically legal with what is decent and humane. One without the other is un-Christian.

What is un-Christian is forgetting to temper justice with mercy, forgetting to temper what is technically legal with what is decent and humane.

It's neither decent nor humane for the government to pick my pocket to provide programs for illegals. This includes housing, food, medical care, education for themselves and their kids, counseling, job placement, utilities assistance, car repair, etc., to say nothing of the costs incurred through illegal alien crime, illegal aliens wrecking cars and running away, ad nauseum.

You get the government to quit stealing money on their behalf - in other words make them act like real immigrants - and we'll talk about it.

Right now, though, my solution is to deport them all along with their "anchor babies".

They send $18 BILLION back home each year.

They come here for money - not out of love for the country. If they did, they'd start by learning the language, then getting the papers.

"What is un-Christian is forgetting to temper justice with mercy, forgetting to temper what is technically legal
with what is decent and humane. One without the other is un-Christian."

The way that you do that is to help them in their own country. You give them all sorts of freebies and no-interest loans that get forgiven instead of paid back, and you support them in any myriad number of ways.

Oops, 'scuse me. We are already doing that.

How about we ask something of them? How about they clean up their corrupt country and learn about how to make free enterprise work instead of just expecting someone else to do it for them.
