Sorry sir, my daughter's best friend is Imagine, an Iraqi girl. My hubby's nephews are 1/2 Korean, his nieces are 1/2 black and my sister IS black. All of them work, and none of them blow up Americans. Perhaps one should think before calling anyone a bigot.

And I do not. I'm sure your friends, or many of the illegals I've met are good folks. But I don't want to have 20 million of them here, particularly when the school system is encouraging them to retain their mexican/gautamelan identity and language, or when our court system has determined ballots have to be printed in spanish to comply with the 14th. ammendment.

Look, I'm all for getting rid of unnecessary bureaucracy and letting those willing to work hard and support themselves come here. The problem is that there are also lots of people who would rather feed off our welfare system, so letting everybody in who asks is not an acceptable solution.

Only Dims and some Libertarians use the race card, which are you? By your reasoning I should be able to get a job at some fortune 500 company by sneaking in the boardroom and pretending to be a member, shucks I will even take 200,000 a year to start. Never mind that I would be (1)Not qualified and (2)Lying through my teeth, after all I am a hard working type person. Welfare mentality has to be the worst trait for any humanbeing to have. paulklenk, you are so full of it. The United States already lets in approximately one million LEGAL immigrants per year. And guess what? Most of these one million LEGAL immigrants that we let in each year "talk funny", most are not white, and they are ALL foreigners!

So, tell me, using your value system, how many immigrants from Africa, Asia, and Europe would there be in the US and how many from Mexico? Would there be tens of thousands of Europeans and millions of Mexicans, or some other ratio?

I grant Wal-Mart a lot of slack to run their business as they see fit and to prosper when their customers benefit. To some extent, it is the problem of Wal-Mart's competitors to figure out how to stay in the game.

But in this instance, Wal-Mart is cheating by taking advantage of the lesser demands of illegal aliens. Their competitors do not deserve having to compete with law-breakers.
