Well, you finally got something right. However, you framed it wrong logically.
If you have a more efficient body metabolism (fat people) you burn less fuel (calories) than people with less efficient matabolism (skinny people and atheletes), to do the same amount of work. Fat takes far fewer calories to maintain it than muscle does. Fat is for energy storage. Muscle is for energy expenditure.
Which takes more fuel to support fuel storage - a fuel tank sitting on the ground - or a fuel truck sitting there running, ready to go?
