Not the overwhelming percentage like nuclear..more like a a 1 in 176 chance than a 1 in a trillion chance of it coming from someone else. Mitochondrial DNA sounds useful then primarily in building the case. But all the defense has to do is create reasonable doubt. The prosecution must have more evidence than this otherwise Peterson stands a good chance of walking.
