MIDI - THE WAY WE WERE
Memories of a movie deal gone bad
It's the best role that the stupid schmuck, Jimmy, ever had
Memories of a president I hate
The two gay guys who produced it...thought it would be great
Could it be that the Gipper's really loved
And I have my head in my ***
Could it be that I am the one who's wrong
No, that can't be...not me
Memories of the time when I was heard
I would put things on my website...that were so very absurd
In my home there's no glee
No one's obeying me
They won't show the d*mn movie
'Cause the deal's gone bad...the deal's gone bad

I just held my nose (a la Streisand) and sang it -- it's good!!!
What's Al's FReeper name, I wonder? He was BIG on getting the word out and Moonves's #s and addys out, too. He deserves a thank you for this. He definitely helped.

I think he just lurks. Thanks, Al.
For those outside of S. California, you can hear Al Rantel on KABC via the internet. It really is one of the great talk shows. www.kabc.com

I've been away on some business, and haven't been up to speed, but I know your place was right in Fire Central, did you fare OK, and if so, how close was it? The fires only got within about five miles of my place here, but there was an enormous amount of ash, so I can't imagine what it was like at ground zero.
To: doug from upland
Oh, you mean......the colon!
You're a much better rhymer than me ;)
Seriously, Doug, this melody makes me wistful.
If the first line were:
"Memories of the Reagan that I knew," could you take it from there?
There are so many good things to remember Reagan for. And we could use Babs' big song to enhance the memory of the Gipper's accomplishments.
Care to give it a go as only you can do?

I was in Texas on vacation (I saw the stinking Johnson Library and the wonderful Bush Library.) I understand that they evacuated about a mile north of my house. We're fine here.
