Are they still looking to shop it to Showtime?
If it goes to Showtime, nobody will watch it.
You know, the demographic of hard-core Republican-haters is low-to-moderate income, middle aged and older. Hardly the market segment anybody is interested in attracting.
This thing would have nothing but ads for Prilosec and Viagra! Not exactly usual Showtime fare.

Showtime is a Viacom network known for being very leftist-friendly. I remember channel surfing and saw a clip from Queer As Folk - my jaw hit the floor.

showtime=cbs both owned by viacom. There is no "shopping" to happen. It is a paper transaction to cover losses.

Hard-core Republican haters exist in the unions. I know, because before I retired on Oct. 31st, I heard nothing but DemocRAT politics from my union buds.
But even they wouldn't be watching this minseries, cause they HATE Reagan. They're still carrying the torch for Gore in Florida. They still remember Iran-Contra.

You know, the demographic of hard-core Republican-haters is low-to-moderate income, middle aged and older. Perhaps. Yes, I'll agree that there is a lot of evidence that people who vote Democrat are for the most part either senile or completely uneducated. But there is another large Democrat constituency who are at the top of the income pyramid.
I read an interesting little stat in World Magazine 2 months ago ---
Ninety two percent (92%) of all donations of $1 million or more in the 2002 election cycle went to the Democratic Party!
So it seems the Rats have the fatcat constituncy pretty much locked up.
