The President, on another busy day, visited Birmingham, AL, to speak at Crane Works, a heavy construction company, and then attended a Bush-Cheney fund-raising luncheon. He then attended a rally in London, Kentucky.
At the Crane Company, Pres. Bush said last week's report that the U.S. economy surged in the third quarter was good news for American workers and called on Congress to keep his administration's policies intact.
I also heard on Fox News that the President in planning on flying to CA to view the damage from the forest fires, which will allow him to spend another night at his ranch.
Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya, and welcome to sanity island!

Quote of the day:
Bush did not mention Sunday's casualties as he addressed a group of small business owners and community leaders at an Alabama factory. However, he spoke of U.S. casualties and said, "Some of the best have fallen in service to our fellow Americans.
"We mourn every loss," the president said. "We honor every name. We grieve with every family. And we will always be grateful that liberty has found such brave defenders."
"The enemy in Iraq believes America will run," the president said. "That's why they're willing to kill innocent civilians, relief workers, coalition troops. America will never run."

I think the Bush Babes and Bucks would like to dedicate this thread to Mystery-ak and Mike as they start the 2-week liberty that includes visiting the families of those lost in the Chinook shoot-down early Sunday AM. God bless these families, and all of our brave Military!

As I understand it he has 2 more stops - but I didn't want to get behind in the posting of pics. I'm a newbie at this - and it's not easy to put all the pictures in dtg order!
You're FIRST!
President George W. Bush delivers an economic address at the Crane Works, a heavy construction equipment rental firm, November 3, 2003 in Birmingham, Alabama. After one of Iraq's bloodiest weekends since the U.S.-led invasion, the U.S. Senate was set to give final congressional approval to Bush's request for $87.5 billion legislation to finance that country's occupation and reconstruction.
"President Bush is seen behind the podium at a Bush-Cheney 2004 fund-raising luncheon in Birmingham, Ala., Monday, Nov. 3, 2003. A day after guerrillas shot down a helicopter in Iraq and killed 16 Americans, President Bush said earlier Monday that attackers are trying to drive away coalition forces but that 'America will never run.'
