[Free Trapper]

I am on a dialup and anytime I'm on the computer,it's because I'm on heavy prescribed pain meds that knock my mental functions all to heck and I can accomplish very little elsewhere or even move around safely.

I've now put to use every link from your post #39 except an alternate browser and all are complimentary to each other.If I can put these to use in my condition,anyone should be able to and get these free safetys installed for themselves.I still can't figure out why the Windows Update keeps saying I need the DirectX 9.0b but that's no big deal.

I don't quite understand what an alt. browser will do for me yet.Would you suggest I try Mozilla or Opera as an alternate browser or will I have to make many changes in trading over and possibly become confused in the swapover?

Also,are there any simple,basic things I should be doing,like running the scandisk and defragmenter,that I may not know about or be doing through my simple ignorance of computers?

I can't put into words how much your tips are appreciated and any other thoughts you come up with can only put me even deeper,happily,into your debt.:o)

I like the Opera browser.

It gives you good control over what cookies (if any) are placed on your system and has internal popup control.

It also imports MSIE bookmarks well.
