I came home and $500,000.00 was missing from my living room. I called everybody. But they couldn't help me. It was already too late.

You are right about Scott. That's why I put "mourn" in quotes. If he hadn't been caught, he'd have had to keep his whoring around in secret until about now, and have kept a few glycerine tears on his puffy cheeks. About now, he could finally stop hiding and start playing around openly. But I can't believe he thought for one second that he would get any insurance money. After all, according to him, the body was never going to "surface," pun originally not intended.

I think you forgot a period somewhere. :-)

Better have that tested. It's never to early for prenatal care.

If you have gone fishing all day and come home around 4:30p.m. or 5:00p.m. You don't call the mother and say your wife is "missing" at 5:30 p.m.

Look, I don't mean to knock down your strawman, here, but I have done exactly that. (Well, alright, I wasn't fishing, I was golfing.)

Don't get me wrong, I think it's extremely likely he killed his wife. But I would hate to think that my own use of hyperbole would get ME convicted of something.

Be careful with your hyperbole or it very well could. ;-)

Jackie, I periodically checked the TV, and you didn't miss anything. Court TV was covering a carjacker's murder trial in KC. When the carjacker drove off, after presumably shoving the (woman) driver out of the car, the driver's 6-yr-old son was still in the car and scrambled to get out of the back door. He became stuck in the seatbelt and was dragged to his death. His last words: "Help me, mommy!!"

And the cable channels are just covering everything, as usual, with very little on Laci.

Usually I just would keep the TV on Court TV and pop in periodically to see if they had a Laci update, but I couldn't stand to go there today after I saw what their main case was.

Nah, Scott really was playing golf that Christmas Eve day.

He heard that the water holes at the country club were stocked with sturgeon.

Can someone clarify the hearing status? I've heard Claudia Cowan's report on Fox twice and I don't undestand it.

She says (paraphrase) "The hearing was supposed to end tomorrow, but now we are hearing there will be no court on Friday, Monday or Tuesday, so we will wait until mid-November to hear if Scott Peterson will stand trial".

What I don't get is, is there court tomorrow? If there isn't, she didn't state that explicitly. If there is, has the judge already announced, ala the Kobe Bryant judge, that he won't issue an immediate decision and will take several days to ponder and is that why the Friday, Monday and Tuesday issue is raised by Claudia?

Hi Dev,, I just got back from the store and I caught a quick segment from Shep, they were talking about the link between Snott and the duct tape found on Laci, saying that they will probably keep that under wraps till the trial...but we already knew that right, RG?
I'm glad that I didn't see any of today's trial on CTV, things like that haunt me. Kinda like Sharons press conference after Snott's arriegnment.

Thanks, rb! I got your ping! What little time I've had to post today was regarding another conversation we were having on the previous thread--"I Weep for Laci". Caught up now. Don't think there's anything really new from the actual hearing, is there?
