I wish Diane Sawyer would have asked him what tool he needed to get out of his toolbox and why...

I don't know about Jeffrey MacDonald. I read Fatal Vision years ago and based on that book, figured he was guilty. I haven't read Fatal Justice, but from blurbs it seems like much of the evidence was either destroyed or manipulated.

It sure would be nice if they finished the DNA testing!

By the way, I heard MacDonald got married. Who did he marry? I always wonder about women who will marry someone in prison?!?

Thanks, I missed the LKL interview.

I do feel strongly though, that if there's DNA evidence that has not previously been examined (for ANY inmate) that it should be done pronto! That MacDonald has had to wait this long is a travesty, especially if he ends up exonerated.

Well, pliers of that sort are really good to have when one is fishing, especially for catfish.

Oh. Darn. He wasn't fishing for catfish, was he?

Well, okay. See, some fish have these sharp spiny things on them, see, and pliers are necessary...

Sturgeon don't have stuff like those whisker-looking things on catfish? Oh. Well, never mind.

Well, pliers are really good to help when adjusting weights on one's line, see...

Um, but weights usually don't shed dark brown hair...

Hey! You know what pliers are REALLY good for? They are the best thing to have when you want to bend the little wires in chicken wire, to attach stuff, and they're good for cutting chicken wire, too!

Oh. I see you have already reached that conclusion. Well, I've finally caught up with you!

Are you kidding?

Remember the greeting cards propped on the McDonalds' table? And after that Herculean struggle of Jeff with the HIPPIES, the greeting cards were still standing, propped up, not even disturbed by a gust of air from someone falling to the ground. Remember the Time magazine right there, with the article about the Manson family marked? Remember the pajama top? What the HELL kind of "hippies" go in there and kill two tiny girls (and of course their mother) and leave the daddy still standing? Even Manson passed by a house on their way to the LaBiancas', and told his group they weren't going to do that house because "there are pictures of children on the wall."

Of course he did it. No hippies had a motive to simply stab those little girls to death, one of them in her bed. No, that's not weird rituals or anything like that. We're not talking about them being found in the woods with upside down crosses all over them. Someone just stabbed them, made sure they were dead, period. Someone who was going going going on "bennies" or whatever that stuff was that McDonald was using.

And don't forget the woman Jeff managed to get smuggled in to see him when he was in the brig. That was not long after his whole family had died horribly. Shades of Scott Peterson!

And what a fine couple Dr. and Mrs. McDonald must make.

Hey ... those of us who believe Scott did this (er... I think there are quite a few of us.

There are quite a few who think he did it, and I, too, think he PROBABLY did it. But I still can't quite join the crusade to "get Scott" based on the PROBABLY. There are too many pieces of the puzzle, or questions I have that make it POSSIBLE he did not actually perform the dastardly deed himself. Did he hire someone? I know--he could still get the death sentence for hiring someone, but we still do not know, for instance, what the DA is doing with evidence that Cory Carroll was involved! We don't know what the mailbox rented on the 23rd (I think) is all about. We don't know about a possible meth connection, and we don't know if Amber called SP's home. We don't know what the "waistband" is going to tell us about what Laci was wearing. We hear that Laci and Amy inherited quite a lot of jewelry that possibly COULD/MIGHT come into play. We don't know who Scott was to play golf with that day. I could go on and on.

I want some really important questions answered before this guy gets the needle-- questions other than 'is that Laci's hair in the pliers'. Sure it is, but there are a lot of ways that hair could have gotten there. Personally, I wouldn't convict a man on that evidence, nor do I think it means Laci was definitely in the boat. JMO

I had not realized that the leaked autopsy reports said the cervix was intact - guess I have to read slower.
I do agree that the baby was not born. But to me, saying the cervix was "intact" does not mean it was fully closed. I keep wondering about the duct tape applied to that area - it seems as if something drew his attention there.

No problem Sandy, we're all waiting for the evidence. Frankly, I'd love to see something that would prompt me to question his guilt. It's too horrifying thinking that he's guilty and what Laci might have thought at the moment she knew what was happening.....
