Tawny Kitaen is really sorry. Honest. Domestic abuse charges against the Bachelor Party babe were dismissed on Wednesday but only after she issued an apology for remarks made on Howard Stern's radio show. Kitaen, accused of attacking then-husband Chuck Finley last year, had agreed to plead guilty and undergo counseling, avoid contact with Finley and make a $500 donation to a battered-women's shelter in exchange for the dismissal. Kitaen "completed all her requirements and did a real good job," said Orange County (California) Superior Court Judge Pamela Iles. But before letting the Whitesnake muse off the hook, the judge insisted on a written apology to the court after learning that Kitaen had appeared on Stern's syndicated morning show and told him that she'd been forced to enter the guilty plea and denied any drug addiction. The onetime host of America's Funniest People was arrested on April 1, 2002, after brawling with her hubby, a former baseball pitcher, during a raucous dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Irvine, a suburb of Los Angeles. Court documents show Kitaen "become loud, obnoxious and abusive" inside the restaurant. But the real fun didn't begin until Finley and Kitaen made their way back to their Newport Beach home. According to the ballplayer, Kitaen kicked and gouged him with her heels and then called 911 before chucking the phone through the car window. When cops arrived, they say Kitaen ran through the neighborhood screaming at Finley and the family's maid. "Our officers responded and determined that she was the aggressor, and she was taken into custody," Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Shulman told the Orange County Register at the time. It was her second run-in with the law in less than six months. According to records pulled by the Register, she also got collared December 13 for allegedly keying a car in Newport Beach. In subsequent court documents Finley said his wife was suicidal, kept knives under their bed and had a serious drug problem. Kitaen even admitted to having become addicted to prescription drugs for migraines and depression and voluntarily checked herself into a 30-day rehab program. However, during her September appearance on Stern, Kitaen cast herself as the victim; denied using drugs; and alleged that Finley was a heavy drinker and steroid user. The two are in the midst of divorce proceedings. Iles had agreed to dismiss the case against Kitaen until learning of her radio appearance. Iles then scrapped her ruling and told the leggy lady to write a letter of apology. The letter was turned in to Iles on Wednesday and sealed along with other documents in the case. Still, Kitaen's attorney, Blair Berk, insists his client is innocent of the charges. "A rich husband who is obsessed with keeping his money and a
divorce attorney is a lethal combination," Berk said after the hearing.

LOL! Husband abuse---one of society's biggest secrets. Probably because few husbands would want to call the cops about their wives beating them up. BTW, Tawny Kitaen has really declined both physically and mentally in the past few years.
Anyody else get a disconnect with this one?
You ain't kidding!
Here's the happy couple:
Here's her hotter days look:
I would have thought she and the hubby lived in a trailer park. Rich, eh? Maybe it's a really really BIG trailer.
Chuck Finley was a major league pitcher who last played for the St. Louis Cardinals a year or so ago. He quit baseball to take care of his kids after a divorce. He is not a small guy. He is probably 6 foot two inches tall and he probably weighs about 210 pounds.
His ex-wife Tawny Kitean was a model/actress best known for her appearances in a series of hot steamy music videos for White Snake, a heavy metal group during the 80's.
Does anyone ever check facts before they publish? Irvine is in an entireley different county -- Orange County, FAR from Los Angeles. I suppose that any city in Southern California may seem like a suburb to Los Angeles, though.
Can you imagine a shelter for battered husbands?
The democratic party.
