I know that. Don't I? But there are two different "Souths". Texas ain't like the Southeast. I know, I've been there. And unlike you I love Texas. Especially Amarillo.

No thank you, I'm not fond of those critters myself. I don't mind em in picture books or tv but I don't want to see them in real life. Well at the zoo's okay.

My view of Texas was distorted by having been a year in South Dakota, followed by 3 1/2 in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Leaving there, driving to Florida to visit family and then up to Myrtle Beach, SC, I nearly died going down the Rockies with a coat on (June) and then racing across Texas in 105-degree heat with no a/c in the van!
"How could anyone live here?!!" was my thought..:))

Under those conditions I can see why you wouldn't have the best perspective on this lovely state. But it's not like that all year round, if it were I wouldn't be able to live here!

I once fell in love with the most beautiful Indian brave at a little joint on the banks of Lake Travis near Austin. I've never forgotten him. Of course that was before my conversion.

Daddy transferred from Charlotte with Aetna Ins and I spent the last six months of high school at Therrell. We were the second graduating class. Played the lead in the Sr. class play - NUTS IN MAY - played the part of Cornelia Otis Skinner.
David Letterman is having a baby tonight. He sure hasn't looked pregnant lately - strange.

Part of me wants to marry an Indian brave, I've got Choctaw and Chicasaw blood. But most of me wants to marry a Southern gentleman. Whoever he is has to be a Christian and conservative, on those two points I won't budge.

I didn't know that. :) I'm not sure which part of our clan is in Huntsville but we have people there. We've got Timmermans, Garretts, Doziers, Moores--those are the main groups.

You didn't have to know EVERYTHING. You know, I think every woman has fantasies about handsome Indian warriors. There is something mysterious about them, and you know how curious we women are.
