I think it would be hard to balance with just one arm when making top level surfing moves. She may be able to surf for fun, but I doubt she'll remain a champ. I suspect she'll handle that loss with equal grace.

I agree with you but I wonder if she can be fitted with a prostesis (sp?) such as the those used by athletes. I wonder if they make them for arms? Many a runner has sprinted and run on state of the art legs! My heart goes out to this brave young woman.
