James Bond is a veteran spy who had cut his teeth just before the outbreak of WWII, now tooling around northern France in his pre-war Bentley investigating this communist casino-owner, Le Chiffre. That would have made him perhaps a year or two older than my Dad. So here it is 2003 and James looks like a guy who couldn't possibly even have been born when WWII ended.
