Please enlighten me with a logical argument against the chirality conundrum, then.

I have never seen a plausible scenario to explain why all organic matter (or almost all) is L and not D. I have heard somewhat plausible theory that UV light "somehow" changed the chirality of space-based organic matter, but that was due to its lack of sheilding by an atmosphere and its orbital proximity to the sun.

If you are so fond of Jim Robinson, why do you advertise a site run by someone who sent him threatening email?

Because the ALS Bible says you agree with ALS or you're a left-wing, liberal, atheist, God-hater. You haven't been paying attention.

The real question for effdot is why he would follow someone so demonstrably evil. Stealing bandwidth, disrupting commerce, harassing Freepers and threatening law-abiding businessmen is ALS' M.O. What good has he accomplished in Christ's name?

I don't see this in any of the Bible's I've read.

Among the problems for ID (which keeps ID from rising to the level of theory and keeps it hovering somwhere between buzzword and nonsense) is ID's failure to explain why things like the vitamin C thing should occur with humans and chimps but not lemurs. The graffiti DNA from inactivated viruses also shows tree-like clades and ID doesn't predict why these should line up as they do. It's in its failure to make distinctions that ID fails; everything has the same explanation.

The hand writing is on the wall.

Daniel 5:26
26 This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it;
27 TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting;
28 PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”
29 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain.
31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

Another example of the Bible being inaccurate historically.

Bad History in the Book of Daniel

Plus,
4:33
The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

Now you would think if something that strange happened to a king somebody would have written it down.

Where did you read this if it wasn't written down?

2 Things:
1. Babylon
Neo-Babylon prevailed from 626-539 B.C. This Semitic civilization built upon the political power structure left by the Assyrians and expanded upon it with a lessened degree of violence. The Babylonians were much more intellectual than were the Assyrians. They were deeply interested in the study of the heavenly bodies. They also pursued the sciences and mathematics, developing a numerical system based on the number six, unlike our decimal system, which is based on ten. The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar is infamous for crushing Jerusalem and imposing a severe exile on all of Judah’s leaders.

2. Persia
The Persians reigned from 539 B.C., when Cyrus the Great conquered the Babylonians, until 330 B.C., when the Greeks defeated them. These people were non-Semitic and are best remembered for overseeing a far-flung empire with a minimum of harsh treatment for the subservient peoples. A good example of this is Cyrus’s decree allowing the exiles to return to Israel after the end of the Babylonian captivity. These people are also known for their development of astrology.

These things happened an awful long time ago. Do you know if Aristotle had a hairy back?

I believe that if they run experiments that closely resemble what the smokestacks at the ocean floors are like, they might come up with some better luck.

I agree, Mainly because in that environment at the bottom of the ocean the first lifeforms (which were probably very fragile) would have had substance to survive/reproduce while at the same time they would have also been protected from UV light (No ozone layer back then) and/or other radiation from the sun which would take care of any (real or imaged) "Irreducibly complex" problems of having to develop an extensive DNA/RNA repair system at the same time as forming.

I too am really pissed at NASA for wasting money on studying Tomato seeds on the space shuttle which could have been better spent on attempts to probe Europa

You know what I meant, Written down by many historians at the time of his inflection instead of hundreds of years later.

BTW, God made the same mistake

Ezekiel

21:32

Thou (the Ammonites) shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.

By putting them (the Ammonites) in the Bible, God guaranteed they would be remembered and thus his words wrong.

2 Things:...............

I am not sure where you are going with those 2

But Astronomy is all over the Bible starting with

Genesis

1:14

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Plus Passover is when the Full Moon is in Aries and Rosh Hashanah is the new moon in Libra so wouldn't have that pre-dated the Babylonians?

These things happened an awful long time ago. Do you know if Aristotle had a hairy back?

No I don't, Though being Greek he most likely did. However if he made a habit of eating grass and had grown feathers on his back I think it would have been well documented by many historians

I haven't had a chance to read the whole article but from the introduction, it looks like there is a whole new thread exploring this whole concept of whether ID has ponied up.

I don't think it fits mine, but it certainly fits ALS. That's why I don't understand your association with him.

A higher standard for evos? You know what ALS did when he started posting here. And you saw his posts to JimRob. He was no victim.
