Yes, poor pitiful guy. This case does not pass the smell test.

It is just not realistic to believe that this man is willing to fight court cases for 14 years to be able to let his wife die based on her casually saying she would not want to live in such a state.

With a live-in and two children - he is not "still" in love with Terri after only a 3-year marriage in which there was talk from Terri to a friend of divorce.

His actions are not realistic. A normal husband who has moved on to another family would be willing to allow the parents to treat her condition and take over the responsibility - especially since they absolutely beg him to allow it. Any normal man would feel pity for the in-laws wanting their daughter to live.

How many divorced men who have remarried and have two children would spend all the effort to fight law cases to allow an ex-wife's life to be extinguished? Wouldn't their interests be atuned to the new family, making a living? Why would they be obsessed with an ex-wife's status - unless there was a reason he could not afford to have her live.

Why would he be willing to take actions resulting in death threats and public outrage just to extinguish a life? Why the strong need for the death of Terri?

Wouldn't the average person listen to the other side and work out a compromise?

On top of this - we have all the denial of medical reports and information on her condition to the parents, denial of visits.

IMHO - there is an over-riding strong need for him to see Terri dead. A need strong enough that he has fought legal cases for years, gone to ultimate lengths to prevent information on her condition and exerted undue sole responsibility for her condition.

Why? It is not because she casually mentioned she did not want to live in such a condition. A 25-year old is never that firm about such things at that time in their life - they are too focused on living.

What possible reason could he have, to prevent her parents from viewing her medical records?

Yeah, especially since he didn't "remember" that was what she wanted until 8 years after the fact, which coincided with him beginning his association with the death guru and certifiable whackjob, George Felos. Coincidence? I think not.
