I guess what I meant was that it is irrelevant as to the decision about the feeding tube. It isn't irrelevant as far as the HINO's culpability for his wife's condition.

No it ain't. Maybe she did have that problem, especially if she was living with a sicko controller like Michael seems to be. If so, that she *had* it is irrelevant to the discussion at hand. That Michael didn't bring it up *is* relevant though, as you say, carenot.
The cynical side of me thinks that he is using this as some kind of twisted rationalization for his withholding food from her...
