If I'm not mistaken, the name on an MD degree is sort of engraved in stone. Can't change it and still be able to get a license to practice medicine. Incorrect. My sister practiced medicine for 2 1/2 years under her maiden name (before her marriage to another doctor), and now practices under her married name.
MD name: Might be state specific. Or, my info is ancient...
