I'll tell ya, I had a Mavica for sometime, (until it was stolen) and I like it a LOT. EASY to use, no hassles, just slip the floppy into the computer and your pix are ready to access or send, rechargeable battery, zoom, and now under three hundred dollars at walmart.

Wish I had it back, now I'm stuck with my mothers old polaroid, you have to plug it into cables to down load,
it needs memory chips and the capacity is real small and it runs on AA cells......lots of AA cells.
Not to mention the Polaroid soft wear SUCKS!!!

There, now you know.

I've had a mavica 95 for about 3 years; paid for itself a few times over; really satisfied. I think the important thing is to get a good case and some extra batteries.

We do alot of back country riding minus 20 temps. This mavica easily has over 4000 miles bouncing strapped to the snowmachine; can't believe myself it still works like new.

Last winter, a buddy showed me his new mavica that was alot smaller than mine. The lens folded down against the camera; he could put entire camera nx to his chest under his refrigawear; pretty slick.

Always been a song guy from way back when I use to replace electrolytics in 15 year old tv's; and they worked like new. Says something for Sony products.

Who out there has another camera than a sony; that likes it much better and why?

Mavica bump. Love mine, no cables, no software, I can take all the pics I want for a friend and hand out the disks when I'm done. Easy, convenient, and comparably priced.
