Finally got in touch with my sister-in-law. Her house in Crest did burn down, but she really bumped up the insurance when she re-financed this summer. She seemed pretty upbeat, had plenty of warning so she saved all the papers, pictures, etc, and has plenty of clothes and the like. Staying with family. Other family members in the area were spared, even though the fires came through their neighborhoods in some cases. All things considered, we were fortunate.
