Boston University's Board of Trustees selected Daniel S. Goldin as president in July after a rushed search and only one brief meeting with him, then found themselves stunned by a series of demands from Goldin, including his plans to fire almost all of BU's top administrators and to live part time at his home in Malibu, Calif., several BU officials and sources close to the trustees said yesterday.

One way to take a swing is for us to pressure the Mass. attorney general's office, one-by-one (while keeping a record of what transpires and sharing it with us). If Cassidy becomes turn-coat witness against Goldin regarding the Shuttle, interesting things could happen.

Wasn't Goldin really just a pitch man and his main function at NASA was to hide the truth and play to the media? If Cassidy knows anything it should be easy enough to drop a dime on him. Is the Mass AG honest?

How nice, now Goldin has the money to finish that dream house in Mailbu. How in the hell did he think he could run BU from the living room of his new home in Malibu?
His wife was not even going to move to Boston, just show up at the high profile dinners and fund raisers.
What a great job, First Class airfare to and from Malibu, going home on the weekends and not taking part in most of the activities that the President of a University is expected to do. Why the hell isn't he looking for nice academic job, say at Pepperdine?
Where can I sign up???
