This has to be a major embarassment for the lame CBS management. The money they paid to produce this turkey is gone. They are carrying the product on their books as an "asset". You succeed in business by selling the assets you produce for more money than they cost to produce. If I were Sumner Redstone, I'd cut my losses, bury this turkey and make a few heads roll over at the CBS subsidiary. The loss of "good-will" and the serious threat of a libel suit (entailing more loss of good-will) make this asset a real white elephant. A good poker player knows when to fold. (Or "Don't throw good money after bad.")

How do you sell it to yourself? Are not showtime and CBS both viacom? Paper losses and profits. They are trying to figure out how to cook the books to CYA.
