You both make excellent points. Where I work, anyone responsible for generating a $10,000,000 white elephant would soon be spending more time with their grandchildren.

Media Shennanigan's museum. LOL our own "no-spin" zone. Great idea.

The silent majority no more!

I just called Hallmark's line and got a song and dance about how they didn't make it, produce it nor will they advertise, but they snuck in a comment about how they will distribute it as they do many films each year. I said, "So basically, you are still going to make every effort to see that it gets on the air." The answer was yes. I told him if it make it to the air here, CBS, Showtime, Europe, whatever, I hold them as culpable and I will never step foot in or buy their products again. And they are one of the few places that makes beautiful Veteran's day cards.
Feel free to do the same and address the distribution spin 800-425-5627 option #3.

Viacom also owns Simon & Schuster, the publishers of Hillary's costly tome.

This is censorship, says one source. A pressure group has had a major network rip this movie to shreds. No, it's not - but this line is the typical liberal mantra. Conservatives are exercising their own right to free speech by threatening boycotts. No one is telling CBS they can't air what they please. We're simply saying we don't like what they plan. They are perfectly free to run whatever version they wish, but now know there are consequences.

This is something I just don't get. An actor/musician/network/reporter has a platform to express their free speech. Me, an average Joe, can't spout off on stage on foreign soil to give my opinion, can't call the local paper to have them cover my latest thoughts, can't slant news stories for my agenda, can't create a hit piece on the Clintons. I have only one avenue at my disposal......my money. That is my free speech and I plan on USING IT whenever I want.

That is my free speech and I plan on USING IT whenever I want. You and I and apparently many, many others have done just that. "Pressure group", my butt-- this is America talking.
On you're other point, I also agree. I would be willing to give them their Reagan movie. Just give me a $10 million budget and put me in charge of the Clinton movie. That is a story I would love to tell.

Let them show the film on CBS - we won't watch it - we never watch them anyway. And I've signed up to boycott the advertisers. Hallmark can go to hell. And so can the rest of them. President Reagan is very ill and Nancy Reagan is old. CBS, Streisand and the rest of them disgust me beyond belief. Beloved President Reagan, please know that the American people you love so much and who love you also will fight to destroy this crap. And as I type this they are running scared.

I called up Jeff Wald myself, and suggested he reconsider his comment about Mike Reagan being a member of the Lucky Sperm Club. is this the same Jeff Wald who was married to Helen Reddy? I did a comix story about him in L.A. called "Cocaine Fiend!" I also was in his office once. Covered with pics of himself plus he wore a shiny silver jacket that said "JEFF WALD."

The script was vetted by two teams of lawyersIn other words, the questions asked were not
is this scene historically accurate,
but rather
can we get away with including this scene without getting sued for libel and defamation of character
