You always told me and mom you never wanted to die in a stupid way like a car accident or something like that. And you really didnt die in a stupid way ... you died in the most honorable way a man like you could protecting me, mom, Joseph, Amanda and the rest of the United States. And we are eternally grateful.
RIP to a hero in more ways than one.

I am so proud of our men and women in uniform. Their sacrifices, and their families sacrifices, cannot and will not be forgotten.

Praise God for this girl and her heroic father!
I know that God is showering his grace and mercy upon them, these people of faith. This is obviously a family of great Americans - I pray that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,
For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleepe, which but thy pictures bee,
Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee doe goe,
Rest of their bones, and soules deliverie.
Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,
And poppie, or charmes can make us sleepe as well,
And better then thy stroake; why swell'st thou then;
One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.

That hurts but not nearly as much as it hurts this girls and her family.
A hero in life a hero in death.
God bless and thanks be to God.

What an incredible girl. Really must have been a great dad
to have raised her like that.

Thanks for posting this letter. I hope we all strive to be worthy of the sacrifice made for us by brave men and women we don't even know. God Bless our Soldiers and their families.

I don't know what to say but I'm profoundly grateful that we have such men willing to protect our freedom. You can tell by the letter that he was a wonderful person. I mourn for his family and will keep them in my prayers.
