My favorite part of the slide show was the quote from the Braveheart script inciting Iranians to fight for their freedom:

I am William Wallace, and I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you fight?

Veteran soldier: Fight against that? No, we will run, and we will live.

William: Aye, fight and you may die, run and you'll live. At least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom?! Alba gu bra! (Scotland, i.e. Persia forever!)

The protest signs were in English. Does this mean that freedom lovers in Iran look to the USA for support? Is the US still a beacon of liberty for people around the world who oppose tyranny? Could there be a legacy to be more proud of?

Good-eye .. yah - you should know, the Iranian people - the majority of Iranians who hate the regime and want freedom look towards the US in for help -.. the Iranian people hate the British and the europeans - but the Brits and Europeans continue to help the regime.. and screw us and them over..
