Hollywood-Hero Joins RNC in Their Call to CBS to Make Film Available to Historians Before Airing in November
Hollywood-Hero has read the letter released today by RNC chairman Ed Gillespie calling for CBS to make a copy of the upcoming television movie, The Reagans available to historians. Mr. Gillespie contended that he is concerned by reports that the film contains many inaccuracies, some of which have been admitted to by the producers of the film. He further stated that a disclaimer should be run during the running of the film if they dont make it available for accuracy or dont make changes, if inaccuracies are found.
Hollywood-Hero launched its own protest ten days ago and has received thousands of signers to our letter at www.hollywood-hero.us/protest_letter_to_cbs.us. The people of America are not going to stand by and allow a revered president, his wife and his legacy be besmirched by producers and network presidents known not to be supporters of any Republican, much less such a successful and loved president as Ronald Reagan.

Anytime, anywhere.
The hate him for his faith, they hate him because he's a Republican and, most of all, they hate him because he was a rabid anticommunist.
With the population of the US changing, and many new citizens (legal and illegal), there are a lot of people that are absorbing recent US history from $hit like this.
For example: I have a fellow Doctor/colleague (Indian; a VERY educated and generally genial man) who in a conversation a year ago, started relating events about JFK and Nixon that were so twisted, my jaw dropped. Suddenly, I realized that he was drawing his 'facts' from the 2 Oliver Stone films by the same names and I politely asked him where he got his information from..........I was correct in my assumption that he had rented the two Oliver Stone films and had absorbed the twin indictments of (1) a corrupt US government that will stop at nothing if you get in its way and (2) the evils of the Republican Party as exemplified by Richard Nixon. I had to correct him and do 20 minutes of debunking about the two films and the career of the famous historian {/sarcasm}, Oliver Stone.
Believe me, folks THIS stuff is dangerous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just ask yourself how many naive people will be swayed by this and accept it as a correct portrayal of history........its on during prime time by a 'reputable' network, isn't it?
No.
Unfortunately.
Hopefully though enough 'stink' will be raised to make a good portion of the US population aware that this show is, at the very least, 'controversial' (ie. NOT the whole story) in its portrayal of a great man, and at the most biased, predjudiced, leftist propaganda.
No.
Sunday morning: I just heard a blurb on C-Span that the Editor quit and that CBS Executives are doing the final editing of the movie themselves. (?)
