Kids don't dress up as witches anymore do they? When Mr. S2R puts on his Elvis costume and I pass out candy to the kids, will Satan be laughing?

I have to buy some candy for tonight's trick-o-treaters.

Or, you could turn your porch light off.

Correction to the article, Halloween is the night before All Saints Day, not All Souls Day...many Christians consider it a holy, not evil, night -- All Hallows Eve, or Hallowe'en.

All Souls Day is November 2nd.

If Mr. S2R looks like this, Satan won't be laughing alone.

Maybe you've never seen a "Christmas Tree" (German pagans favored pine trees because they were long and tall, like a sturdy penis) or "Santa Claus."

The favored pine trees because they survived in the dead of winter. It has nothing to do with penises (sorry to dissapoint).

Israelis do not celebrate Halloween.

For Palestinians, every day is Halloween.

"Good thing we have the First Amendment to prevent theocrats like Robertson from running our government, isn't it?"

Just for the record, actually, Pat Robertson has just as much right to be President as you or I do. It is specifically stated in the Constitution that there can be no religious test for offices in the government. If he can get elected, he's in. It works for the courts too, which is why what the Dems are doing to Pryor and Estrada's nominations (especially given their absolutely immaculate judicial records) is a blatant Constitutional violation.

But even if their records weren't clean - even if they had in fact allowed their religious conscience to influence their interpretation of the Constitution or their passage of laws - WITHIN THE PLAIN MEANING OF THE CONSTITUTION - they still could not be barred from it. The Constitution itself, the Federalist Papers and 200 years of example firmly established that the Founders believed that a moral religious conscience among the leadership and population was absolutely essential to the Republic.
